Labour Relations Agency (Code of Practice on Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures) (Jurisdictions) Order (Northern Ireland) 2011 comes into force
Implementation date: 1 January 2012
The Order prescribes that grievances bought under s.51 of the Companies (Cross-Border Mergers) Regulations 2007 (SI 2007/2974) are subject to the workplace grievance provisions set out in art.90AA of the Industrial Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 (SI 1992/807). The workplace grievance provisions permit an industrial tribunal to vary an award where there has been an unreasonable failure to comply with the Labour Relations Agency code of practice on disciplinary and grievance procedures.
