List of employments exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 expands

The Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2009 amends the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. It adds to the list the following categories for which it is lawful to ask questions about spent convictions and cautions for the purposes of assessing a person's suitability: regulated immigration advisors; persons working for the Criminal Records Bureau; those named on applications for licenses to handle or supply controlled drugs; and those seeking membership of the Master Locksmiths Association.
