National Employment Savings Trust Order 2010 comes into force

Implementation date: 5 July 2010

The Order establishes a pension scheme known as the National Employment Savings Trust and makes provision for its administration and management, pursuant to the automatic enrolment provisions under the Pensions Act 2008. It appoints the National Employment Savings Trust Corporation as trustee of the scheme, provides for the circumstances in which an employer may be admitted to participate in the scheme and provides for an annual contribution limit. The Order also requires the trustee to make arrangements for consulting members of the scheme and employers admitted to participation in it. The Order can be viewed on the OPSI website.
