Part-time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000 (Amendment) Regulations 2002 come into force
Implementation date: 1 October 2002
The Regulations amend the Part-Time Workers
(Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000 come into force.
These amendments allow part-time workers to compare themselves to full-time
workers under a different type of contract when looking at whether they have been
less favourably treated. They also adapt the rules on remedies available to
part-time workers denied equal access to occupational pension schemes. Under
current law, the remedy ordered by the tribunal may go back no more than two
years. This restriction is lifted. The Regulations can
be viewed on the OPSI website.
