Paternity and Adoption Leave (Adoption from Overseas) Regulations 2003 come into force
Implementation date: 6 April 2003
The Regulations
apply the Paternity and Adoption Leave
Regulations 2002 to overseas adoptions. An adoption from overseas is the adoption of a child who enters Great Britain from
outside the United Kingdom in connection with or for the purposes of adoption, which does not involve the placement of a
child for adoption under the law of any
part of the United Kingdom. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
