Paternity and Adoption Leave (Adoption from Overseas) Regulations 2003 come into force

Implementation date: 6 April 2003

The Regulations apply the Paternity and Adoption Leave Regulations 2002 to overseas adoptions. An adoption from overseas is the adoption of a child who enters Great Britain from outside the United Kingdom in connection with or for the purposes of adoption, which does not involve the placement of a child for adoption under the law of any part of the United Kingdom. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
