Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2012 come into force

Implementation date: 4 February 2013

The Regulations amend the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Scotland) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010/168), replacing the reference to the National Policing Improvement Agency with a reference to a Minister of the Crown. The Home Office has taken over the running of the Police National Computer, which holds information relating to convictions and cautions. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
