Police (Minimum Age for Appointment) Regulations 2006 come into force

Implementation date: 19 September 2006

The Regulations amend the Special Constables Regulations 1965 and the Police Regulations 2003 to lower the age that a candidate for appointment as a special or regular constable must have attained from 18 years and six months to 18 years. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
