Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Removal of Barred Individuals from Regulated Work) Regulations 2010 come into force

Implementation date: 28 February 2011

The Regulations prescribe that where an organisation is notified that an individual has been barred from doing regulated work with children or adults, it is prohibited from permitting the individual to do regulated work and must remove the individual from the regulated work. It is an offence to fail to comply with these Regulations. The Regulations can be viewed on the UK legislation website.
