Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Prescribed Diseases) Amendment Regulations 2005 come into force

Implementation date: 14 March 2005

The Regulations amend the Social Security (Industrial Injuries) (Prescribed Diseases) Regulations 1985 in respect of concurrent employment in two or more occupations in relation to occupational deafness and delete obsolete exceptions which relate to claims in respect of occupational deafness made before 3 October 1984. The Regulations also add osteoarthritis of the hip, Lyme disease and anaphylaxis to the prescribed diseases. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI website.
