Social Security (Retirement Pensions etc) (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2005 come into force
Implementation date: 6 April 2005
The Regulations modify the provisions relating to the
deferral of entitlement to retirement pension. In particular they make
transitional arrangements arising from a change in the incremental rate from
1/7th per cent to 1/5th percent and from the introduction of an option to choose
a lump sum when a person defers entitlement to their pension for at least 12
months. The Regulations can be viewed on the OPSI
website.
