Statutory Paternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay (General) and the Statutory Paternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay (Weekly Rates) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 come into force

Implementation date: 1 October 2006

The Regulations amend the Statutory Paternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay (General) Regulations 2002 and the Statutory Paternity Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay (Weekly Rates) Regulations 2002. The amendments, which apply to an employee whose child is expected to be placed for adoption with him or her on or after 1 April 2007, extend the period of adoption pay from six to nine months.
