Statutory Shared Parental Pay (Administration) Regulations 2014 come into force

Implementation date: 1 December 2014

The Regulations provide for the funding of employer liabilities to make payments of statutory shared parental pay. Employers can reclaim from the Government 92% of all amounts of statutory shared parental pay that they have paid out. "Small employers" that qualify for small employer relief may reclaim 100% of all statutory shared parental pay paid out, plus 3% compensation. The Regulations also provide that records must be kept for three years after the date of a tax year on which payment was made.
