Time Off for Public Duties (No 2) Order (Northern Ireland) 2003 comes into force

Implementation date: 24 August 2003

The Order amends the Employment Rights (Northern Ireland) Order 1996, which requires an employer to allow time off during working hours to an employee who is a member of a body specified in it. It adds district policing partnerships, established on the coming into force of certain provisions of the Police (Northern Ireland) Act 2000, to the list of bodies whose members are covered. The Order can be viewed on the OPSI website.
