Working Time (Amendment) Regulations 2002 come into force
Implementation date: 6 April 2003
The amendment Regulations
implement those provisions of the Young Workers Directive (94/33/EC) from which
the UK had previously opted out. They prohibit young workers from working more
than eight hours a day or 40 hours a week, and at night between 10 pm and 6 am,
except in limited circumstances. The Regulations
can be viewed on the OPSI website.
