Proposed change to duty to notify secretary of state

The government has begun a 12-week consultation on a proposed amendment to the provisions on collective redundancies in TULR(C)A 1992.

The consultation deals with the provision in s.193 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 (TULR(C)A), under which an employer is obliged to inform the secretary of state of impending redundancies.
