UK Government is the central online resource for links to government services and information. Businesses can find links to training-related funding opportunities.
Mygov.scot is the official source for business links and information in Scotland. It has a training section with links to funding opportunities for businesses.
Northern Ireland Business Info is the official source for business links and information in Northern Ireland. Much of the information is replicated from the UK-wide UK Government website, including the links to awards and support for businesses.
National Apprenticeship Service
The National Apprenticeship Service is the government body that supports, funds and helps to coordinate apprenticeships in England. Employers can apply for grants to support their apprenticeship schemes.

Apprenticeships in Scotland
The National Apprenticeship Service supports employers in England only. Skills Development Scotland's Modern Apprenticeships scheme offers training devised by Sector Skills Councils and industry bodies. Skills Development Scotland offers incentives to employers in Scotland who are taking on an apprentice.

Sector Skills Councils
The Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) bring together employers, trade unions and professional bodies working with the Government to develop skills that are needed in the UK. The Alliance of Sector Skills Councils is the collective body that represents the SSCs.

Skills Development Scotland
Skills Development Scotland is Scotland's national skills body. It offers a range of services to employers regarding training, and provides links to training organisations and courses in Scotland.

National Skills Academies
National Skills Academies are established in a range of business sectors. They offer training that has been developed by employers to meet the training needs within these sectors in the UK.
Most of the National Skills Academies provide UK-wide services, but there are exceptions. Employers in Scotland and Northern Ireland should check the relevant academy website.
There is no central portal for the National Skills Academies. There are currently 19 National Skills Academies at different stages of dvelopment. Employers should approach their relevant skills academy for information on sector-specific training.
Sector-based work academies
Sector-based work academies provide pre-employment training for jobseekers in England, followed by a work placement and a guaranteed interview. Working with employers and Sector Skills Councils, the sector-based work academies are designed to provide tailored training. Costs incurred by employers are covered by government funding.
Business Events Finder
Business Events Finder is a online service delivered on behalf of the Government by internet marketing agency Free Rein. It is a search portal for finding business-related training events throughout the UK.
WorldSkills UK runs skills competitions in collaboration with partners from education and industry in a range of disciplines for entrants from across the UK.
Growth and Innovation Fund
The Growth and Innovation Fund provides financing for skills initiatives proposed by employer groups. A wide range of employer-led organisations are eligible to apply for funding. Funding is provided only to projects that provide benefits solely or significantly to England.
