Establish how much ordinary parental leave an employee has taken with previous employers
Key points
An employer that takes on a new recruit may wish to try to establish how much ordinary parental leave the new employee has taken with previous employers in relation to any existing children, to confirm what (if any) entitlement to ordinary leave remains.
The employer could ask the employee to provide this information, or seek clarification from their previous employer(s).
