Implement the results of a job evaluation exercise
Key points
Having carried out a job evaluation exercise, most organisations use the results to form the basis of a new pay and grading structure.
Once a hierarchy of jobs has been decided, there will be many other factors for the employer to consider before a pay and grading structure can be agreed, such as where grade boundaries will sit and how progression will be managed.
It is likely that the exercise will result in some roles being evaluated as higher or lower in value than they were prior to evaluation, so the employer will need to decide how underpaid and overpaid jobs will be dealt with.
