Inform an employee who has submitted a statutory request in relation to study or training of their ineligibility to do so
Key points
Eligible employees in organisations employing at least 250 employees have a statutory right to make a request in relation to study or training.
Eligibility is dependent on a number of things, including the employee's length of service and whether or not they fall into an excluded category of employee.
Where an employee who is not eligible to do so has submitted a request, the employer should respond explaining why the employee does not qualify for the right to make a request in relation to study or training.
