Changes to statutory paternity leave are introduced, including that employees can take two non-consecutive weeks' leave and the period for taking leave is extended to 52 weeks after the birth.
Our research finds that a majority of organisations offer enhanced paternity pay, but it is much less common for shared parental pay to be enhanced. Many employers also offer other family-friendly support for employees.
