Maternity pay

Editor's message: Employers are under no obligation to pay women their full pay when they are on statutory maternity leave, unless this is provided for contractually. Instead employers must pay eligible women statutory maternity pay (SMP) for up to 39 weeks.

Calculators on XpertHR can help you to determine whether or not a woman is entitled to SMP and, if so, how much.
