Podcast: Justifying discrimination arising from disability
On this week's XpertHR Weekly, we discuss the decision of the Employment Appeal Tribunal in Land Registry v Houghton and Others EAT/0149/14, which provides useful guidance on how to approach claims for "discrimination arising from disability". We consider the defence of justification and the factors an employment tribunal may take into account in deciding whether or not an employer is able to justify a particular policy, criteria or procedure.
Presenter Jeya Thiruchelvam is joined by Fiona Cuming. Edited and produced by Laura Kimpton.
