Guillermo Amunátegui heads the Corporate team of DAC Beachcroft's Chile office. He specialises in employment law, advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. His experience includes: drafting a wide variety of employment contracts (including collective employment contracts); advising clients on internal regulations and collective bargaining processes; and assisting with day to day employment law issues.
In respect of contentious work, Guillermo has been involved in representing employers' interests across a broad spectrum of work including: wrongful dismissal claims; obtaining court authorisation to terminate contracts of employment where employees have special protection; and redundancy terminations. His work extends to both Chilean and International clients and, in the case of the latter, includes drafting employment contracts, particularly with regard to the enforceability of non-competition clauses before the Chilean courts.
Guillermo is also experienced in corporate law matters, advising shareholders and boards of directors of both open and closed corporations in corporate fields.
Guillermo qualified in 1993 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2012. He is a member of the Chilean Bar Association.
