Paul McFarlane

Paul McFarlane joined Weightmans LLP in 2006 and became a partner in 2009. He advises clients on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious. Paul specialises in advising clients on complex discrimination and whistleblowing claims. He also has considerable experience advising on: whether or not ballots confirm with the statutory requirements; tactics for dealing with "wildcat" disputes; picketing; and facilities for trade union representatives. As well as his technical knowledge and tactical experience, Paul's strength is being a calm head in fraught situations.

Paul sits on the Employment Law Association's (ELA) legislative and policy committee and chaired the ELA working party that was set up to respond to the 2012 Government consultation paper on reservists. He regularly writes articles on employment law issues in the legal and HR press.
