Call for evidence on ethnic disparities and inequality

Close date: 30 November 2020

The Government launches a call for evidence on ethnic disparities in various fields. The main areas on which the call for evidence seeks views in the employment field are: the reasons why disparities exist; what could be done to improve retention and progression opportunities for those from ethnic minority backgrounds working in the public sector; and how can the way in which young people find out about and access education, training and employment opportunities be improved. A further question included in the call for evidence is whether or not there are any other ways to address ethnic disparities. In particular, it is interested to hear evidence of specific initiatives or interventions that have resulted in positive outcomes and any measures that have been counterproductive and the reasons why.
