Consultation on new small business commissioner's complaints handling scheme
Close date: 7 December 2016
The Government consults on the detail of the small business commissioner's role in the small business complaints handling scheme. The role of the small business commissioner was created by the Enterprise Act 2016 to provide advice and information and to support small businesses to resolve payment disputes with larger businesses as well as encourage a cultural change between businesses. The consultation seeks views on the key areas on how the complaints scheme should operate. In particular, it invites views on such issues as how the small business headcount should be calculated and whether or not consideration should be given to the relative bargaining power of the parties when determining a complaint.
