Coronavirus: resource round-up

Our resources on the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme include podcasts, a webinar and FAQS, as well as guidance on specific topics in employment law manual sections. See below for these resources. The latest additions include two new FAQs on annual leave during furlough, a subject also covered by Darren Newman in his commentary article (see below) and an FAQ on pension contributions for furloughed employees. We also have model letters for employers to use in relation to furlough. Two template letters that can be used by HR to confirm an employee's request to be furloughed and to turn down such a request have just been published - see below.

Regulations, effective from 26 March 2020, amend the Working Time Regulations 1998 to allow workers to carry forward leave not used because of coronavirus. For more information, see our FAQs and employment law manual section on annual leave (below).

Just published, guidance on how line mangers can support employees' mental health during the pandemic.

See below for list of International guides that include information on measures taken by governments abroad that will affect global employers. Information for other guides will be added.

Emergency volunteering leave (sometimes abbreviated to EVL) is a new right for employees that is contained in the Coronavirus Act 2020. The provisions in the Act are not yet in force - an enabling Regulation is required. We have just published four FAQs on this leave (see below) and we are planning further new content - see Coming soon to XpertHR.

We will add further resources and update our guidance as the situation develops.
