Government announces compulsory national "living wage" in Summer Budget

On Wednesday, George Osborne unveiled the first Conservative budget for 19 years. A key budget announcement for employers is a new compulsory national living wage of £7.20 per hour, set to be introduced in April 2016 for all working people aged 25 and over.
