Are demobilised reservists permitted to return to work before the end of their post-operational leave?

On returning home from armed forces duties, a reservist is first assessed by medical staff and then given a period of post-operational leave. During this period, the reservist is still technically called out by the Ministry of Defence and is required to follow their commanding officer's orders. While on post-operational leave, they will not be allowed to return to work without their commander's permission, which will normally not be given until the call-out has finished.
