If there is more than one union representative in an organisation, are they all entitled to paid time off to carry out union duties?
Union representatives have a right to paid time off to carry out their duties, regardless of how many representatives there are at the organisation. It may be that the representatives are responsible for different parts of the organisation or for different issues. Even where they have the same responsibilities they have the right to paid time off, but only if the time off requested is reasonable. The fact that there is more than one representative could be taken into account when deciding whether or not the time off is reasonable in the circumstances.
