What information will the Government make public about employers that claim under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme?
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will publish details of employers that claim under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme for furlough periods beginning on or after 1 December 2020. The HMRC guidance on the scheme states that the information that will be published on GOV.UK is:
- the employer's name;
- an indication of the value of the claim; and
- the company number (for companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs)).
An employer will be able to request that HMRC does not publish its details only if it can show that publication would result in a serious risk of violence or intimidation.
