  • There is no general statutory obligation on employers to provide or finance vocational training for their employees. (See General)
  • An employer and employee may sign a "study contract", whereby the employer agrees to support and finance the employee's studies, and the employee makes a commitment to complete the studies and continue to work for the employer for a specified period. (See Study contracts)
  • An employer may sign a "training contract" whereby it provides a trainee with workplace-based practical training as part of an apprenticeship-type initial vocational training programme. (See Training contracts)
