Section 15 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 provides that it is unlawful for an employment agency to discriminate against a woman by refusing or deliberately omitting to provide any of its services. Brocklebank v Silveira EAT/0571/05 concerned a Portuguese national who had travelled to the UK on the basis that an employment agency would pay her fare, and find her accommodation and employment in a chicken factory.
