Webster v Ministry of Defence [1993] IT/2628/91 (0 other reports)

In Webster v Ministry of Defence a Belfast industrial tribunal (Chair: E McBride) awards £3,500 compensation for injury to feelings, including £1,000 aggravated damages, to a woman who was discriminated against on the grounds of her sex and marital status when the Ministry of Defence failed to shortlist her for interview. It found the Ministry gave "misleading, inconsistent and untruthful answers" in the Sex Discrimination Questionnaire and persisted in its defence during the proceedings.
