In Smith v (1) Wynter and (2) Mitac Europe Ltd aggravated damages have been awarded by a Shrewsbury industrial tribunal (Chair: D P Thompson) against an employer that failed to deal with its employee's complaints of sexual harassment and then victimised her by moving her to another department.
Mrs Smith brought a sex discrimination complaint in respect of a series of acts of verbal sexual harassment by the first respondent, her chargehand.
