Cadman v Health and Safety Executive [2004] IRLR 971 CA (1 other report)
The facts
Bernadette Cadman was employed as a band 2 principal inspector. She was paid between £4,000 to £9,000 less per annum than her four identified male comparators in the same band who were employed on work rated as equivalent under a job evaluation study. The principal reason for this differential was that the men had longer service.
