In Draehmpaehl v Urania Immobilienservice ohG, the European Court of Justice holds that German legislation on compensation for sex discrimination contravened the EC Equal Treatment Directive in setting a limit of three months' salary and a ceiling on aggregate compensation, where there were no such limitations under other provisions of domestic civil and labour law.
