In Hatherley v Bounty Services Ltd  ET/1701750/97, an employment tribunal found that it was not a genuine occupational qualification to be female for a job as a baby photographer in a maternity unit. A man rejected because of his sex, but who would not otherwise have been selected due to lack of essential skills, was awarded £500 compensation for injury to feelings.
