    In Igbo v Johnson Matthey Chemicals Ltd (23.4.86) EOR8A, the Court of Appeal rules that contractual terms which provide for automatic termination of employment if the employee fails to return from leave on a specified date are void because they limit the operation of the statutory right not to be unfairly dismissed.
