In Mba v Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Merton [2014] IRLR 145 CA, the Court of Appeal held that an employer had been justified in requiring a Christian employee who believed in strict Sunday observance to work on Sundays. Accordingly her claim of unlawful religious discrimination failed.
