In addition to damages for injury to feelings in discrimination cases, a tribunal can also award an amount in respect of injury to health. In Otts v Malton Bacon Factory Ltd t/a Hargrave & Co a Thornaby-on-Tees employment tribunal (Chair: N W Garside) holds that this includes damages for psychiatric illness where it was satisfied that there was a causal link between the conduct of management and the applicant's illness.
