A member of the Democratic Unionist Party and of the Free Presbyterian Church was discriminated against on grounds of religion and political opinion both in the selection arrangements made for determining who should be appointed to the post of cross-border arts cooperation officer, and in her non-appointment, holds the Fair Employment Tribunal (Chair: J E Maguire) in Paisley v (1) Arts Council of Northern Ireland and (2) An Comhairle Ealaion.
