In Perceval-Price and others v Department of Economic Development the Court of Appeal in Northern Ireland has ruled that employment tribunal chairmen are "workers" who are in "employment" within the meaning of European Community law, and are therefore entitled to bring equal pay and sex discrimination complaints.
