Racial abuse of a chef by regular customers in a pub was sufficiently under the control of the employers to make them legally liable for racial discrimination, holds an Ashford employment tribunal (Chair: M Stacey) in Motcho v Greene King Retail Services Ltd.

Conrad Motcho, who is black, worked as head chef at the Fox Under the Hill public house from April 1998 until September 1999.
