An employer which had a "perfectly satisfactory equal opportunities policy" but failed to arrange racial harassment training, was liable for racist comments made by one of its employees, rules a Bristol industrial tribunal (Chair: C F Sara) in Taylor v (1) Adlam, (2) Adlam and (3) Hanley.
Maurice Taylor, who is black of African origin, was employed as a charge nurse at one of two nursing homes run by Dr and Mrs Adlam.
