In Harling v CL Plastics Ltd a Leeds employment tribunal (Chair: A J Simpson) upholds a disability discrimination claim and awards £25,000 for injury to feelings, including aggravated damages to an employee with dyslexia who resigned after suffering 18 months of "barbarous" treatment at the hands of co-workers and junior managers, while senior management did nothing about his complaints.
Mr Harling is a dyslexic who has severe difficulties in reading and writing.
