Amos-Abanyie v Bradford Metropolitan District Council [1993] IT/62373/92 (0 other reports)
In Amos-Abanyie v Bradford Metropolitan District Council a Leeds industrial tribunal (Chair: P A Morris) rules that it has jurisdiction to hear complaints brought by a foster carer that she had been racially discriminated against by Bradford Council. It rejects the council's arguments that the carer was not employed by the council and that, even if she was, the employment was for the purpose of a private household and therefore excluded from the Race Relations Act.
