In Suffield v Hegna a Newcastle employment tribunal (Chair: J R Barton) awards compensation of £28,049, including £10,000 for injury to feelings, to a pub manageress who suffered post-traumatic stress disorder following the termination of her employment after she refused the sexual advances of her male employer.
Miss Suffield was employed as manageress of a public house owned by Arild Hegna from 21 October 1996 until her dismissal a month later on 22 November.
