A black head chef who was demoted and subjected to detrimental treatment following the takeover of the restaurant in which he was employed, and then dismissed and replaced by a white chef, was unlawfully discriminated against on grounds of race, holds a London North industrial tribunal (Chair: D H Roose) in Olufeko v (1) Vinemark Ltd t/a Charco's Wine Bar and Restaurant and (2) O'Donoghue. It awards over £20,000 compensation.
