On 22.7.81, Mr Foxon was summarily dismissed from his job as chef at the King's Head Hotel, Louth by the then owner Mr Lomas. He consulted solicitors with a view to making an application for unfair dismissal but before any such application could be made, an agreement was reached with Mr Lomas that he be reinstated.
